Taconic Women Over Dinner

On Monday, December 9th, from 3-5pm PT / 6-8pm ET, we held a very special Women Over Dinner virtual event in solidarity with our inaugural dinner at Taconic Correctional Facility. This marked a groundbreaking moment for Women Over Dinner, bringing Topeka’s mission to life by connecting incarcerated women with a global community of support.

The virtual dinner united women from around the world in a shared expression of solidarity, compassion, and empowerment. Together, we created a space to honor the Inherent Power of Woman, celebrating the diverse ways women express their strength and resilience. As the women at Taconic Correctional Facility gathered around the dinner table, they were reminded that countless women outside those walls were standing with them, amplifying their voices and supporting their journeys.

Conversations during the event explored profound questions: What does it mean to be a woman today? How do we honor the lineage of women as life-bearers and creators? Is equality our ultimate goal, or is there something even deeper—something that reflects the truth of who we are? These heartfelt discussions created ripples of transformation that extended far beyond the dinner table.

At Taconic, Topeka’s unwavering commitment to empowering incarcerated women took center stage.
